 The word “Thomala” means a garland of flowers. Hence this arjitha seva assumes importance of decorating the presiding deity with exquisitely tied colourful floral and Tulasi garlands after awakening Him from celestial sleep with Suprabhata Seva. Sponsors are allowed to sit inside the Ardhamandapam and  watch the seva for more than half an hour. This Seva begins with abhishekams to Boga Srinivasa Moorthi, Lord Balaji’s Thiruvadies and Saligramas. During this seva, the Divine beauty of Lord Balaji is enhanced in a spectacular manner with various specially designed garlands, while THIRUPPAVAI is recited.
